Himachal Pradesh is taking efforts to elevate Sanskrit to new levels. Its a very thoughtful action by the state officials in the right direction. Several thousand Sanskrit manuscripts yet to be translated are found in India. Its also the need of the hour to digitize these ancient manuscripts, and protect the valuables. Not only Sanskrit but Himachal as you understand is high on literacy as well. Some of the youth have come together to put Himachal on the international map, by forming a website called
HimVani . They call themselves as a think-tank of Himachal. And they are also Himachal's first citizen journalism effort.
